‘Ink’ is spreading to NYC next

New York City is about to get some TV “Ink.”

TLC, which airs “Miami Ink” and “LA Ink,” is expanding its franchise with “NY Ink,” an eight-episode series scheduled to premiere in June. The hour-long series, headlined by “Miami Ink” star Ami James, will be set at a venue called the Wooster Street Social Club in SoHo, which is currently under construction.

Production on “NY Ink” is scheduled to begin in mid-March.

The show will include an entirely new cast, who’ll join James, the brash breakout star of “Miami Ink,” which premiered in 2005.

Both “LA Ink” and “Miami Ink” have performed well for TLC.

“LA Ink” has garnered, well, some more ink recently, since its star, Kat Von D, recently announced her engagement to Jesse James, who famously cheated on his ex-wife, Oscar winner Sandra Bullock. “LA Ink” averaged 1.5 million viewers last year.

The “Miami Ink” fan site on TLC averaged 2.5 million page views a month between June and December.

Jesse James & Kat Von D Confirm Their Engagement on Twitter

It’s official! Kat Von D has turned to Twitter to Tweet excitement about her recent engagement to Jesse James. Jesse’s engagement comes less than a year since his divorce from Sandra Bullock, but the West Coast Choppers founder doesn’t seem to have any qualms about moving on so quickly.

Kat Von D posted the following message on her Twitter: “Thank you for all the wonderful, loving congratulations from you all.. Overwhelmed with joy right now!”

She also Tweeted some messages to her fiance, joking, “@FreeJesseJames I guess the “kat” is outta the bag, eh?”

Jesse has been all a flutter on Twitter as well, directed two special messages — written in Spanish — to Kat.

“@thekatvond Me gustaría estar con ustedes en este momento. Incluso si tan sólo pudiera tomar tu mano, como aquella primera noche.” Followed by: “@thekatvond para siempre mi amor”

The loose translation of Jesse’s Tweets: “I would like to be with you at this time. Even if I could just hold your hand, as that first night.”

And Kat took the sentiment to heart, responding: “Waking up to what @FreeJesseJames said about our engagement this morning brought tears to my eyes, in the best way possible…”

Looks like the affianced couple is all about Twitter PDA!

Jesse, 41, and Kat, 28, have been all over each other’s feeds!

Jesse recently Tweeted: “They say True love will always shine through. The only reason I started Twitter again? so I could publicly profess my love for @thekatvond.”

Her response: “Thank you always supporting me and believing in everything I do. But most of all, thanks for being my best friend.”

Looks like the love fest is on! The tattooed duo have been dating since last summer, following the collapse of Jesse’s marriage to Sandra after his alleged cheating scandal went public.

Jesse and Sandra’s divorce was finalized last June.
