I’m getting fed up with the spinning around Rob and Rob’s work…. like we don’t get it- how the industry works or Rob’s status!

This time, the “Remember Me” director needs *ahem* some feedback. On Twitter today he promoted the new “Ask Rob” clip with the following:

Yeah, right… you did “cast” him because he caught the essence of the the script/the part, and NOT because of his bankability… and if Rob really is an executive producer  as rumour has it (or “info circulating in the blogosphere has it”), I’m sure that fact had nothing to do with your decision- and  it so didn’t happen in the following order: Rob liked the part…. said he’ll go for it…. everyone else just said “Sure”! (*kaChing*)…

Oh, and let’s not forget Rob’s prespective on this, shall we? He’ve complained  in several interviews lately that he doesn’t get cast  but just gets the parts, and that scares him a bit… So, yeah… REALITY CHECK… He calls the shots, not you.. We know it, you know it (and he certainly knows it), so, please…sell that story to someone else :-)

(And believe me… I SO want him to find his match (professionally) and for someone to cast him, train him, kick his butt and mentor him on the road to greatness, rather  than having everything served on a silver platter… but that’s life- and that’s how power works…He’s the top dog-for now- because he goes for scripts and not directors…)
